Survival setup

1- Unarchive/Extract

Extract the zipped file you just downloaded from BuiltByBit, it should look something like this.

2- Upload server

• Shut down your server and open FTP/SFTP (If you're unsure how to do this, contact your server hosting provider).

• Upload Server Files.zip to your servers main directory and unarchive/extract it. You can now delete the zipped folder if you'd like to.

3- Install dependencies

Because some of the plugins don't allow you to re-distribute them, you'd have to manually install them and drag/add them into your /plugins/ directory. The plugins are TAB, Citizens & Chatgames lite.

4- Choose a software

At this point, you'd have to chose a server software. I recommend using papermc.

Download papermc (1.21.8) → https://papermc.io/downloads/paper

Although i recommend papermc, if you're an experienced user and know what you're doing, you can always use a fork of papermc.

It is extremely important to use 1.21.8 at the moment, any newer or older versions may break the server

5- Start the server

You're done now and can simply start the server and enjoy the server setup! Please note that starting the server first time will and can take upto 10 minutes depending on internet and disk speed.

6- Changes

Branding Changes

At this point, everything is ready to play, although you will need to change the branding. I have made it very easy to add your own branding to the server within just 1 file.

Navigate to /plugins/RocketPlaceholders/placeholders/branding.yml . Here you can change servers ip address, discord, website/store link etc.

After you're done, you must run /rp reload or restart the server.

Make sure to only change the text: and use small caps font else you may break things.

Server List/MOTD

You can change server list from server.properties (which can be found in root/main directory)

AntiCheat

The server doesn't come with anticheat as default due to personal preference of consumers. You can add any anticheat you'd like, i personally recommend GrimAC as its the most stable & free anticheat.
